Dad Pens Heartfelt Letter To Ariana Grande: You Have Nothing To Apologize For

Following the bombing at Ariana Grande's concert in Manchester on Monday night (May 22), which killed 22 people and injured at least 60 more individuals, we can't even begin to think about how the pop titan might be processing all of the news. Nonetheless, a sweet letter from a father of three young girls is making the rounds, and might help heal the 23-year-old star's heart just a bit.

"I am the father of three daughters — ages 13, 12 and 12. So, you have been a part of our family for years," Patrick Millsaps, parent to young girls named Morgan, Alison and Kendall, wrote in the beginning of his letter. "On occasion your songs have stayed on the radio AFTER I have dropped the girls off at school. I will neither confirm nor deny that I have personally seen every episode of Sam and Kat."

Millsaps goes on to make two important points in the open letter. First off, this tragedy is in no way her fault.  "You see, you are no more responsible for the actions of an insane coward who committed an evil act in your proximity than you would be for a devastating natural disaster or acts of morons near your hotel. Your text was some stinkin' thinkin' in that regard," he wrote in the letter, which was posted via his Twitter account.

Secondly, he wants her to take her time to heal and return to the spotlight only when she is absolutely ready. "When and only when you are ready, on behalf of all dads who love your...um...whose daughters' love your music, SING AGAIN," he continued.

As for those "experts" who are trying to tell Grande how to react, Millsaps urged the singer to listen to her own heart because "these ‘experts’ don’t have a freaking clue what you are processing right now." See below for the full letter.
