NCSU Students create nail polish to help stop date rape

Students in NCSU's Materials Science & Engineering department have invented a nail polish that changes color when exposed to date-rape drugs. The polish, 'Undercover Colors', changes color when it detects date-rape drugs such as Rohypnol, Xanax and GHB. The hope is that wearers of the polish will stir their drinks with their finger and check for a color change before consuming the beverage.

'Undercover Colors' has been granted $100,000 from an investor at the K50 Startup Showcase and has won $11,250 from NC State's Entrepreneurship Initiative.

Great job guys!
