One Person Wins $456.7 Million Powerball Jackpot

One lucky person will be claiming the eighth largest Powerball jackpot in history all for themselves. A single winning ticket for the $456.7 million Powerball jackpot on Saturday night was sold in Pennsylvania. Nobody has come forward to claim the prize, and officials have not revealed where in the state the ticket was sold.

The winner will have the option of taking the full jackpot, paid out over 29 years, or one lump-sum payment of $273.9 million.

Two people won $1 million by matching all five of the white balls, and a third person took home $2 million for matching the white balls and the 2x multiplier.

The last time there was a jackpot winner was January 6th. An anonymous winner in New Hampshire took home the cash option of $352 million on a $559.7 million jackpot.

44 states along with Washington D.C., the U.S. Virgin Islands, and Puerto Rico hold the Powerball drawing on Wednesday and Saturday nights at 10:59 pm ET. Tickets cost $2 each and give you a 1 in 292.2 million chance of winning.

Because there was a winner, the jackpot for Wednesday's (March 21) drawing will reset to $40 million.

Here are the winning numbers for Saturday, March 17th.
