RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) _ The North Carolina Division of Motor Vehicles will not be taking its mobile van to northeastern North Carolina as scheduled because the unit needs repairs.
The division said the van was scheduled to stop in the town of Jackson on Monday. Subsequent stops were scheduled this week for Plymouth, Columbia and Swan Quarter.
DMV mobile units take driver license services to remote areas of the state, issuing original and renewal licenses, as well as written, sign and road tests.
The division is working to complete the repairs to get the unit back on the road as soon as possible
