Veteran Tells His Homeowners Association He'll Stop Flying His American Flag When He's 'Dead'

INJOFor many in suburban America, the word of their homeowners association is law when it comes to how they must maintain, present, and live in their own homes.

But two veterans in Woodstock, Georgia, are standing up for what they are saying is their right to fly the American flag year-round. They fought for our freedom, and now they are fighting for their flag.

Fox News interviewed Air Force veteran Pete Rockett and U.S. Navy veteran Tom Wilder after they refused to take down their American flags after receiving complaints from the Village at Towne Lake Homeowners Association.

According to a recent email from the HOA, there are only 23 days out of the year that the flag can be flown in order to fit with the “aesthetic and architectural theme” of the neighborhood.
