Everyone hates the IRS. That’s pretty much a given, but even the IRS would never have gotten away with this.
A family in Germany owed quite a bit in back taxes. In November, the German equivalent of the IRS, showed up at their house to seize all of the family’s valuables. Including their dog!
Apparently, Germany has a "dog tax". Just one of the unpaid taxes. Therefore, the recoup the tax money they took and sold the dog on eBay.
The story doesn’t end there however. The dog’s new owners had the take the dog in for four surgeries and is now suing the German tax officials.
