Happy Earth Day (Even Though It's Not So Happy)

Earth Day was originally proposed by peace activist John McConnell as a day to honor the Earth and the concept of peace. Since then, Earth Day has grown into a worldwide event celebrated on the 22nd of April annually.

While a lot has changed since the initial Earth Day, it hasn’t all been for the better. In fact scientists say Earth’s atmosphere has changed profoundly since the first Earth Day.
