Boy Bullied For Homemade Tennessee Shirt Has Logo Become Official Design

A young boy from Florida has dreams of going to the University of Tennessee and was excited to show off his pride in the school during his school's College Colors Day. Unfortunately for the young boy, he didn't own any shirts from the school, and his mother was unable to find one on short notice.

That didn't stop the boy, who decided to draw his own logo and then pinned it to an orange shirt. The boy was excited to show off his shirt, but his excitement was turned to sadness when a group of girls started bullying him for his homemade shirt.

After lunch, the boy went back to class and put his head down on his desk and started to cry. His teacher tried to console him but was unable to make him feel better, and he decided to remove the logo.

His teacher, Laura Snyder, decided she was going to buy him a University of Tennessee t-shirt and shared the story of what happened on Facebook. The post quickly went viral, and alumni from the school reached out to her to send over some gifts for the boy.

The post even caught the attention of officials with the college who decided to honor the student by turning his homemade logo into an official t-shirt. They also sent him a care package filled with officially branded apparel.

"When I told him that his design was being made into a real shirt and people wanted to wear it, his jaw dropped," Snyder wrote. "He had a big smile on his face, walked taller, and I could tell his confidence grew today!"

The University of Tennessee says that all the proceeds from the t-shirts will be donated to an anti-bullying charity.
