7:54pm Update:
The all clear has been given and residents are no longer being urged to remain inside in the Renaissance Park neighborhood. The Raleigh Police Department said they received a call and were dispatched to a residence just after 5:30pm. When they arrived one suspect opened fire on the officers, hitting one of the officers who has been taken to the hospital. Officers returned fire and hit the suspect, who is now deceased.

The Renaissance Park neighborhood in south Raleigh is on lockdown after a police officer-involved shooting. There is a massive Raleigh Police presence on Democracy Street. People are being urged to avoid the area and stay inside.
