Billy Idol's upcoming album Dream Into It is slated to come out on Friday (April 25) and the singer is giving fans one more preview before its release. On Tuesday (April 22), he shared "77" — a collab with Avril Lavigne. The song draws from Lavigne's pop punk sound as the duo swap vocals to begin each verse before coming together to harmonize during the chorus.

During an interview with Consequence, Idol spoke about the inspiration for the new song, saying: " I was just sort of ruminating about how today in America, it’s not so different from what it was like in the seventies in England.”

"77" is the second single off Dream Into It, following "Still Dancing." Later this week, Idol will find out if he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and then kicks off a North American tour with Joan Jett on April 30. Listen to "77" and see a full list of tour dates below.
