Sandwiches are one of the most versatile meals that you can have any time of day, from a bacon, egg and cheese to start your morning off right or a club piled piled high with deli meats and cheese to a flavorful banh mi loaded with crisp veggies or a classic grilled cheese for a simple yet delicious comfort. But where can you find the best in the state?
According to a list compiled by Yelp, the "best sandwich" in all of North Carolina is the Eddie V served at Waveriders Coffee, Deli & Market. The popular choice at this "specialty market" in Nags Head is a "vegetarian panini-pressed bagel sandwich with egg, smoked gouda, and balsamic glaze."
Waveriders Coffee, Deli & Market, which has a 4.8 star rating on Google and nearly 1,000 reviews, is located at 3022 S. Croatan Highway.
Here's how Yelp determined its list of the best sandwich spot in every state:
"We identified businesses in the Sandwiches category with a large concentration of reviews mentioning 'sandwiches,' then ranked those spots using a number of factors, including geographic location and the volume and ratings of reviews mentioning the keyword."
