Rosa Parks

On December 1, 1955, Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat on a Montgomery bus.  This seemingly small action led to the Montgomery bus boycotts and was a pivotal event in the nation's civil rights movement.  

It's easy to forget that this was not so long ago.  My father was thirteen when this happened; my mother was eleven.

One simple action can change the world.  Let's make it a better place.
