If you're like me, you may take the same vacation every year, if not a few times a year. I do this because I go to Vegas 4-6 times a year. But I have family/friends who live there, and their daughter is like best friends with my daughter. So it's not like we just go to gamble.
But is it healthy to take the same vacation over and over again?
Turns out you're not alone. 1 in 3 Americans return to identical vacation destinations annually. But why?
People feel like “locals” at their chosen spots, with 65% reporting deep community connections, kind of like we feel when we go to vegas. People know us, and we visit their spots. But what do other people think? Beach destinations attract 35% of repeat travelers, while theme parks draw 20%. Comfort and familiarity drive 52% of repeat visits, followed by scenery, traditions, and food at 40% each.
So it's not a bad thing to go to the same place over and over again. Well, unless it's a toxic situation for your life at the moment. I don't drink anymore, but Vegas is still a blast for us with food, shows, concerts and more.
So is it bad to visit the same spot over and over again? I don't think so. But if you ask my wife, I'm sure she would say she would rather be on a beach. Plus with 54% of Americans plan familiar destination visits in the coming year, they might know what's coming anyway lol.
But if you get to take a vacation, feel blessed. Shouldn't really matter where you go, as long as you re-charge the batteries in your life and rest, have fun and relax for a bit.
