New World Record For A Blanket Fort

Back in the day, you would take all the blankets in the house, to build a place of your own on summer break, or even just a simple Saturday. We've had blanket forts forever, but did you know there was a Guiness World record for one? I thought ours were the biggest? Nope, Nevada beats us to the punch again.

Students officially broke a Guinness World Record by constructing a blanket fort covering 14,103 square feet at a Las Vegas community center.

The fort surpassed the previous record of 12,291 square feet set in South Carolina in 2024. An official Guinness World Records adjudicator verified the structure met all requirements, including no gaps larger than one inch, sheets touching the ground, and interior space comfortable for sitting. I wonder if they had a stage for dancers and a craps table too? Kidding, or am I?

Clark County Commissioner Justin Jones. "It was about bringing the community together, creating unforgettable memories for foster and kinship families, and raising awareness for the needs of children and caregivers in foster care."

But you need to see this thing and how they put it together. It's pretty cool. CLICK HERE
