This all happened last Saturday, when a man named Adrián Simancas was kayaking with his father, Dell, in the Strait of Magellan. A large humpback whale surfaced while trying to feed and ended up engulfing Adrián and his kayak for a few moments before realizing he's a humpback whale that doesn't eat human!. The whale quickly let him go. “I thought I was dead,” Adrián told The Associated Press. “I thought it had eaten me, that it had swallowed me.. He went on to describe how scary those few seconds were and then had a real fear set in that after resurfacing, it was possible that the whale would hurt his father or that he himself would die from hypothermia in the frigid waters. Remember that something like this happened not to long ago, but that time it was in California and not Patagonia.
